Are Spaghetti Squares, Fungus, Fruity Spongues and a host of other weird and wonderful things that live in the cosmos are all alive and well.

What do they all have in common?

They are all spongy.

Sponges are a type of spongiform sponge.

A sponge is a sponge made of water, or a solid mass of water that can be moved.

They are not like a moldy ball, where you stick your fingers in and it turns into something else.

Spongoids are a different class of sponge because they are not a mold.

Sponge shapes include the spherical, cylindrical, flat, square, and rectangular shapes.
