NHL’s New York Rangers may not be ready to go back to the ice after the Olympics

The New York Islanders and New York Jets are unlikely to make the NHL playoffs this season because of the Olympic break, according to a new report.

The New York Post reports the Islanders and Jets are set to be traded, according the sources.

The Islanders are expected to receive two second-round picks in the 2018 draft and the Jets would receive two third-round selections.

Both teams are expected take part in the Olympics this summer, with the Jets expected to play in the World Cup of Hockey.

The report was first reported by ESPN.
